This follows public outcry from artists such as Gravity Omutujju and Buchaman on social media and even social media.
Speaking live on TikTok, Bebe Cool, who was managing artists for President Museveni’s campaign, admitted to the delay in paying some artists, saying that payments have not been made to date.
Cool said that he hopes to reach an agreement on the issue soon after consulting with the relevant authorities, perhaps referring to the ruling NRM party management.
Bebe Cool is now asking the artists concerned to remain patient, stressing that how they handle such issues may affect future opportunities.

“If someone gives you an opportunity to work, it is important to demonstrate patience and good character,” said Bebe Cool, explaining that if they do so, when the person has another opportunity, they will have no problem paying later.

Recently, musician Gravity Omutujju threatened Bebe Cool with legal action for non-payment, asserting that he had signed a contract with him.
